Unbeatable wedding styles that you will love as much as we do.

At Love & Loved we welcome wed-to-be’s who are planning a wedding that reflects their unique style and personality. While creating a theme might give some of you the “ick”, having some style direction will create an aesthetically pleasing day and will enable you to create a wedding day that is a reflection of your interests, personal style and who you are as a couple.

From timeless to alternative, you are in the driving seat when it comes to setting the tone of the day. The venue and the suppliers you choose to work with will influence this, but if you have followed your instincts and chosen the places and people that suit your vibe then you can’t go wrong. The same is true when it comes to choosing your dress. Go with the dress that makes you feel best, the one you can imagine being in on your special day, the one you don’t want to take off. Consider it a canvas that you can style to reflect your own tastes.

To inspire your wedding planning we have pulled together some of our favourite styles, themes and wedding day looks that we think you will love.

Bohemian Wedding

The bohemian style is rich in history, most commonly associated with free spirited creatives and artists. Typically, bohemians represent a counter culture spirit, often rejecting traditions and moving to the beat of their own drum. Many couples love to reflect this culture in their wedding day. A bohemian theme keeps your day light, free of constraints and oozes chilled vibes, something your guests will appreciate as much as you do. When it comes to your aisle style bohemia never dates, it transcends decades and generally anything goes.

The best boho dresses and separates are created out of modern laces, often using complimentary patterns, layered and manipulated to create unique patterns and texture. Oversized sleeves are a must, from bell to bishop a dramatic sleeve really enhances the whimsical look and is a nod to the Bohemian 1970’s heritage. Why not go all out with tassels and trims for a more unique look.

When it comes to your accessories, floral hair vines capture the free spirit of nature. Of course you can opt for a flower crown but the beautiful Wildflower hair vine by Scarlett & Wolfe is the perfect alternative. It has the feel of a flower crown but is more delicate and intricate in its design and can be worn in multiple ways to suit your hair style.

When you are having a boho wedding you have free reign to make alternative choices. Ditch uncomfortable heels in favour of your trusted DM’s. Either invest in a new pair, (we are a sucker for the white boots) or simply dress yours up with silk or satin ribbon laces, just like Love & Loved bride Amy.

Finally, customise your look with a hand painted jacket. Our resident artist can create a bespoke design that reflects your own style. Incorporate flowers that will feature in your bouquet, just like gorgeous Love & Loved bride Olivia and include motifs and symbols that are important to you. You can also add your favourite song lyrics or a sentimental saying, name or date.

Festival Wedding

A festival wedding is guaranteed to be a fun filled day, topped off with a huge party. It’s typical to throw a festival wedding outdoors, we love woodland venues and farmland off the beaten track as the perfect backdrop for your tipi style wedding.

We also love the endless possibilities when it comes to your aisle style. You can rip up the rule book and do it your way. Bohemian laces work really well as do interesting sleeve details. For the ultimate festival look opt for sequins and why not encourage your guests to do the same. Our vibrant sequin crowns by Claude Bridal Studio are the perfect finishing touch, giving ultimate festival feels.

Opting for separates will make you feel more relaxed. Separates can be more informal but still have the same luxe feel you would want for your wedding day. Pair your skirt with some fabulous wellies for navigating those fields or on a hot sunny day relax in flip flops or a comfy wedge heel.

Arrive in style. A vintage camper would be our transport of choice and incorporate elements to enjoy outdoors such as an ice cream van or cart and vintage outdoor games.

Ethereal Wedding

Ethereal style is light and romantic, usually with delicate details, calm colours and celestial vibes. Ethereal style is grounded in nature, taking inspiration from its surroundings.

When choosing the Ethereal aesthetic keep your colour palette aligned to nature and draw inspiration form the environment where your venue is situated. Details and decor can be light and whimsical.

Keep your aisle style relaxed, perhaps opting for a simple wedding dress but dressing it up with intricate head wear and a soft cape. Scarlett & Wolfe capture this look perfectly with delicate head pieces, pins and headbands.

Elegant & Chic Wedding

An elegant and chic wedding with timeless accents will really stand the test of time. When it comes to your wedding wear splurge on beautiful satins, organza’s or ethical silks. Consider pearl embellishments and accessories for a luxe but timeless finish. An elegant wedding can be classic or contemporary. Choose a simple and elegant dress where the beauty is in the simplicity.

When it comes to styling your elegant and chic wedding you have some great options. For a more contemporary vibe go for minimalist but eye catching floral displays with coordinating tableware. Introduce pops of colour to complement your venue. If you want a more classic feel then choose abundant florals in neutral and delicate colours. Work with your florist to select flowers with big and blousy heads such as Roses and Hydrangea.

Elopement Wedding

Elopement weddings grew in popularity during the Covid restrictions when limitations on guest numbers and travel were at their most challenging. Many couples embraced the opportunity for smaller, more intimate and personal weddings and it seems this is set continue. Elopements don’t have to mean small, but couples are increasingly opting for less is more. Having a slightly smaller guest list can mean that the budget spreads further, elevating each guests experience.

Brides often feel more free in their bridal wear choices when it comes to eloping. It seems the pressure is off compared to a traditional wedding with couples feeling more empowered to make unique choices. When it comes to your elopement style many brides like to keep it chic and simple. Choose slimmer silhouettes with a smaller train so you can move from ceremony to reception with ease while taking in the sights and capturing memories in the local area.

Choosing a chic venue with a clear aesthetic reduces the need to over decorate allowing you time and money to focus on the finer details that can be more personal. We love a ceremony at a local, historic town hall followed by a cosy city bar with an exclusive area for you to enjoy your day with guests. Just choose bold florals and candles to create the right atmosphere.
